Thanks Lorraine, what a race that was!
It's all smiles at the McLaren garage as winner Lando Norris is congratulated by his team and shares hugs with his parents who are very emotional, I don't blame them.

Charles Leclerc comes home in second place and sounds disaapointed over the Ferrari team radio. The other McLaren of Oscar Piastri finishes third and Max Verstappen, after his late second stop, ends his Monaco weekend in fourth. Lewis Hamilton, 51 seconds off the pace, is fifth.
Right, I'm off to see a man about a dog (or Liverpool lift the Premier League), so Alicia Turner is going to take you through all the post-race celebrations.
He is finally in. He's pulled the trigger, into the pit lane, into the Red Bull pit box. It's the soft tyre. Let's see how he fares on the last lap of this race.

Lap 78/78
And now Lando Norris can breathe. Max Verstappen takes to the pits to make his second stop, leaving the McLaren man to take the victory lap on the Monaco streets in peace.

Max Verstappen pulled away a bit and that allowed Lando Norris to up the pace and put a bit of a gap between himself and Charles Leclerc, but now he's dropped back again.
Lando Norris must be wishing Max Verstappen would just pit so he can get some clear air. Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri are right behind the Briton - as Red Bull call in the Dutchman.
Lewis Hamilton is asking Ferrari if he;s a minute behind leader Max Verstappen. His engineer gives him a long monologue, which the seven-time world champion didn't ask for. It's been a lonely race for Hamilton in fifth place.
The trio of Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri are becoming tighter together as they want to see when Max Verstappen will make his second pit stop - or not.
Max Verstappen is 1.9secs ahead of Lando Norris, 2.3 seconds clear of Charles Leclerc and just under three seconds better off than title leader Oscar Piastri.

Red Bull are gambling on a [red flag] happening and wouldn't it be an absolutely astonishing thing that this time they think of any opportunity to win the race, not to get the best result.
If there was a red flag they can go to the grid and put on new tyres and start again.
Lando Norris is succesfully keeping Charles Leclerc in check as the pair run in second and third. Oscar Piastri is just in the mirrors of the Ferrari man in fourth, as another lap of the Monaco Grand Prix is banked.
If there's a red flag, Max Verstappen gets to get three tyre changes and the rule isn't two pit stops, it's three sets of tyres. He would then keep the lead and be able to change his tyres and that would win him the race. Basically, Red Bull are hoping for a red flag.

Chris Yewdall: If Verstappen pits, he ends up 4th.
If he doesn't pit, he takes a 30 second penalty and ends up 4th.
Maybe he'll just stay out and mess with NOR, LEC and PIA?
Oscar Piastri is trying to up the pace to get on the rear wing of Charles Leclerc but his McLaren has been lagging on the front three in the past couple of laps. The Australian is on the hards. Leclerc is a medium runner, with both tyres around the same lap life.
Lando Norris is ringing the McLaren phone to ask where his wingman Oscar Piastri is? He needs him now as Max Verstappen is backing up the pack and Charles Leclerc is getting closer.
'Red Bull are opportunists'published at 15:34 British Summer Time 25 May

We've seen Oscar Piastri getting very close to the barrier. This is the time of the race where people get tired.
Max Verstappen is out in front and what are Red Bull thinking there? They are opportunists and racers and they need something to happen, otherwise they are going to have to be content with what is going to be a best fourth place.
The top four are in a race of their own today - Lewis Hamilton is 54 seconds off race leader Max Verstappen. Oscar Piastri in fourth is only just over three seconds away from the Dutchman.
