1976: Open Door - 100 Programmes

Open Door was a programme in which the BBC handed over air time to the public, running for ten years from 1973-1983.

In this episode Chris Dunkley, television critic of the Financial Times, looks back on the first century of programmes made as part of the strand by groups and individuals from all parts of the community.

Some return to talk about why they wanted "their own say in their own way" and about what they achieved with their programmes, while Chris adds reactions of his own.

This programme was originally broadcast on BBC Two, Saturday 29 May, 1976.
