There’s been condemnation pretty much across the board following the killing of Sarah Lynn Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky.
There has been criticism of some on the left who perhaps haven’t condemned it as much as people feel they should have done.
Interestingly, some of the reaction from the more far-right elements of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government has suggested that there was a connection between what has happened and what leaders like Emmanuel Macron,Keir Starmer and Mark Carney have been saying. That has added a political dimension to this.
It’s also worth saying that there are others in Israel – leading opposition figures - who have said that the actions of Netanyahu’s government is firing antisemitism.
So you do get these two hugely polarised views about the effect of the outside world on antisemitism, even coming from within Israel itself.
