Marco
Choosing a career is not easy. I wanted to be a doctor but I found the studies were too long. It's a well-paid job, of course, but I would work hard and my parents would have to pay a lot of money to me. Their parents did the same thing when they were studying but I don’t want to ask them to do that for me. So what interests me now is computer science. I would like to do an apprenticeship to become an IT technician because you can earn money at the same time as training.
Lola
For me, going to university is a big goal. I would like to become a scientist and, to succeed in this field you have to have a degree. I’ll find a part-time job to pay the rent because I’m going to study in Lille, far from home. I’ll work as a waitress or shop assistant - I’ll do what it is necessary to earn some money. My parents didn’t go to university. They encourage me, but they can’t me financially.
