We all know that your body might change during pregnancy.
Judi Love tells us that despite any changes to your body (stretch marks and all), spending quality time with a loved one is the most important thing. Bikinis are optional.
Mark:
Got the towels. Your bikini.
Sophie:
I'm not wearing that.
Mark:
You look amazing in this. And I told you, swimming is supposed to be good when you're pregnant and it'll do you good to get out for a change.
Sophie (inner voice):
He just doesn't listen! Swimming?! Look at me. I'm a whale. And he just wants me to squeeze all my stretch-marked blubber into a cozzie for all the world to see. What is wrong with him?
Judi:
Pause it. Believe it or not, he's trying. It hasn't even crossed his tiny little mind that you might be worried about how you look. He thinks you look great and you do. He wants to spend time with you and exercise will be good for you and the baby.
You're not the first person to have stretch marks. But if you're still worried about swimming, suggest a walk. Spending time together in the fresh air will help. You got this.
Sophie:
Look, I know you're trying to help. But I just don't think I'm up to swimming. Everyone will be staring at me. I'm huge!
Mark:
You're gorgeous. But I get it.
Sophie:
I do need to get out of this place though. How about a walk? And if it rains…!
