Leaving home for the first time after bringing baby home can feel like a big moment, but it is important for your health as well as your baby's to get some fresh air and social interaction.
Linda hasn't left her home for some time. She is convinced to leave the flat and pop to the shops while her mum helps tidy up.
Linda:
Mum, chuck us a cushion would you?
Linda's mom:
It’s quite nice out, why don’t you take him for a little walk?
Linda:
Um, yeah, might do that tomorrow, think we’ll stay in today.
Linda's mom:
Ok. It’s just you’ve been staying in a lot, love, as in you haven’t left the flat yet.
Linda:
I went and got that curry!
Over here!
Linda's mom:
I just think you need some air. You can leave him with me if you want, I've done this before.
Linda:
I’ve got some stuff to do here though. I'm trying to keep on top of things.
Linda's mom:
I’ll make us a cuppa.
Linda:
Why have you brought them with you?!
Linda's mom:
It’s just easier sweetheart. Giggles You’re out of milk love. Why don’t you go and get some? Have a little wander. I’ll do this washing up.
Linda:
Alright! Come on then, pud. Let’s do this.
Clock ticking
Linda's mom:
Have fun you two!
Linda:
Keep your phone on, yeah? Just in case I need to ring you.
Linda's mom:
You won’t need to.
Linda:
Do I need the changing bag?
Linda's mom:
You're going down the road to the corner shop, not the moon. Bye now.
Door bell rings
Linda:
Forgot my purse. Oh Linda!
