Danny Hylton has been without a club since leaving Northampton Town at the end of the 2023-24 season

Charlton Athletic have confirmed veteran striker Danny Hylton has ed the club as a player-coach on a short-term deal.

The 35-year-old has been without a club since being released by Northampton Town at the end of the 2023-24 season.

Hylton is re-united with Addicks manager Nathan Jones following their time at Luton Town where the pair earned promotion to League One in 2017-18.

"Danny is someone I know very, very well who is a true professional. He will push and educate our players and he will live and breathe the club," Jones told Charlton's website.
