Tom Carroll scored once in 42 league games for Exeter City last season

MK Dons have signed experienced midfielder Tom Carroll.

The 32-year-old spent last season in League One with Exeter City after a year out of the game but turned down the option of a new deal with the Grecians.

Carroll started his career with Tottenham and has also had spells with Swansea and Queens Park Rangers.

He is the League Two side's eighth g this summer and they have not specified the length of contract he has signed.

“Tom was excellent for the club last season after ing us following a year out of football," Exeter boss Gary Caldwell told the club website.

“Last season, Tom spent lots of time away from his wife and two young children, and expressed a desire to move back closer to be with them, which is something that as a club we have to respect.”
