Southampton to sign Brazilian pair from Sao Paulo

Southampton have agreed deals to sign Brazilian duo Welington and Juan when their contracts at Sao Paulo expire.

Both players have settled on personal , g pre-contracts, and will move to St Mary's in January.

Left-back Welington, 23, has made 150 appearances for the Brazilian Serie A side, also being a part of winning teams in the 2023 Copa do Brasil final and the 2024 Supercopa do Brasil.

He has represented Brazil at under-23 level.

Forward Juan, 22, has scored eight goals in 80 appearances for Sao Paulo and has played for Brazil Under-19s.

Southampton, who were promoted through the play-offs, begin their Premier League campaign at Newcastle on Saturday, 17 August.
