Jay Williams can play at centre-back, right-back or in midfield

Sutton United have signed Fulham defender Jay Williams on a permanent contract.

The 20-year-old Wales youth international ed Fulham from Newport County in 2019 and won the Under-18 Premier League South with the London side in 2021.

He s with Sutton 23rd in the League Two table and in the relegation zone, seven points from safety.

Their next match is against Harrogate Town on Tuesday.

The club have not specified the length of Williams' contract.
