The Irish Boundary Commission was set up to determine the border between the Irish Free State and Northern Ireland. The Commission’s report was completed in 1925 but was suppressed to avoid any more disputes. To this day, it remains controversial, with many Irish nationalists condemning it as a 'Unionist stitch-up'.
