'Play day is about children being free'

Pupils at a school in Bristol have been enjoying their annual play day.

Beacon Rise Primary School encourages children to explore play and hosts a range of fun and unusual activities for children to engage with.

Some of the activities include a slip n slide, hose pipes, paddling pools, water fights, and spaghetti fights.

Darren Hicks, the school's assistant headteacher, said play day is about children "being free".
