Watch: Hunt saboteur complains of assault and car damage

A hunt saboteur has been assaulted and a car damaged whilst following a hunt.

The incident happened on New Year's Day in Herstmonceux, East Sussex.

The parked car was reportedly damaged by four suspects and one of the occupants assaulted, according to Sussex Police.

A member of the South East Coast Hunt Saboteurs was taken to hospital after the incident.

A spokesman for Southdown and Eridge Hunt said the attackers had nothing to do with their organisation.

He said: "We are genuinely horrified by this incident. We unequivocally condemn such behaviour."
