Road closed after car strikes pedestrian

A city road has been shut after a pedestrian was hit by a car, police said.

Emergency services were called to Paston Ridings in Peterborough at about 15:00 BST on Monday.

Police and ambulance crews remain at the scene.

The extent of the person's injuries is not yet known.
