It was warm and clear again across Somerset this week, making for beautiful sunsets on the beach.

Both Somerset's men and women cricketers have been in action at Taunton, and a new festival is in the works at Chew Valley Lake.

Elsewhere, a Manchester United legend lent his expertise to the county's "worst football team".

Perfect: Day after day of dry sunny weather may not be good for farmers, but it was delightful for Somerset cricket fans who headed to the County Ground this week.

Cutting the ribbon: A new dementia care home was opened in Yeovil this week by its first resident Julie and special guest Fred Dinenage MBE. The home has 66 beds and specialises in people with Alzheimer's.
