Man charged over fatal car crash in Borders

A man has been charged over a fatal crash on A7 in the Scottish Borders last year.

Yvonne Nichol, 64, from Hawick, died in the three-vehicle crash near the Ashkirk junction on 15 August.

Police said a 30-year-old man - who had previously been arrested and released - had been charged.

They added that a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal and he was expected to appear in court at a later date.
