Pedestrian injured in A82 crash near Fort William

The collision happened close to Inverlochy Castle, near Fort William

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being knocked down by a car near Fort William.

The collision happened on the A82 at Inverlochy Castle, near Torlundy, at about 12:15 on Tuesday.

The 58-year-old woman was treated for serious injuries. Police said the 20-year-old female driver of the car was unhurt.

The road was closed in both directions for six hours following the crash, and there was a 160-mile (257km) diversion until the road was reopened.
