Three in hospital after A9 crash near Aviemore

Police said the A9 was closed between Aviemore and Kingussie

Three people are in hospital after a two-vehicle crash on the A9 near Aviemore.

Police closed the road in both directions between Aviemore and Kingussie after reports of a collision early on Tuesday afternoon.

The Scottish Ambulance Service said four ambulances and a critical care paramedic were sent to the scene.

Motorists had been advised to avoid the area. The road has since reopened.
