Film review - Is Avengers: Infinity War a triumph?
It’s about a man collecting precious stones but many critics are saying the film may be a gem itself. BBC Culture’s Caryn James now gives her own verdict.
It’s the culmination of all the different storylines that have been percolating in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the first Iron Man film popped onto cinema screens 10 years ago. For that alone, Avengers: Infinity War could be an overstuffed grab-bag. And in many ways, with more than 60 speaking parts, it is. But film reviewers have been overwhelmingly positive thus far.
